Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Review
Wednesday, April 13, 2016
I definitely identify as a self-proclaimed lipstick hoarder, so when Influenster gave me the opportunity to try out a few of Bite Beauty's Amuse Bouche lipsticks to review for testing purposes, I was thrilled to say the least! (≧◡≦) ♡
The first thing I noticed upon opening the package was just how much attention to detail Bite Beauty put into the overall look and feel of the lipstick containers. The caps of the tubes are shaped as though someone took an actual bite out of it, and each lipstick has a small Bite Beauty logo branded onto it. The tubes themselves feel like they are made from a rubber material that is almost velvety in how soft and smooth it is, which is definitely a nice touch! (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
I was sent 3 unique shades:
♡Gazpacho - a "True Blue-Red" which is perfect for all skin tones and won't make your teeth look yellow when you smile!
♡Pepper - a "Dusty Rose" shade that does not disappoint, this has been my go-to when I'm in a hurry and only have time for a quick swipe of lipstick
♡Beetroot - a "Bold Berry" which is a wearable shade of berry but can be paired with a dramatic eye for a more vampy look

Pros:
-Super creamy formula
-Long-lasting
-Extremely pigmented, no need to build up color
-Light citrusy aroma that isn't overwhelming
-Extremely moisturizing, perfect for softening up chapped lips
Cons:
-Pricey
Rating:
9/10
Bottom Line:
Overall, I am extremely impressed with these lipsticks. The Bite Beauty website claims that these lipsticks are highly pigmented, moisturizing, and extremely creamy in texture, and honestly I have to say that I agree 100%. Because the company promises that these lipsticks are made from 12 edible oils--which are responsible for their high moisturizing power--I honestly expected to have to use several layers to build up the product, but instead I found that one quick swipe was more than enough! (≧◡≦) ♡
Although I have been super obsessed with Colourpop's Liquid Matte Lipsticks lately, I have been trying to find something to treat my dry and chapped post-matte-lipstick lips and I found that these Amuse Bouche lipsticks are the perfect solution! I wear these on the days in between using matte lipsticks to help restore my lips to their normal, healthy condition~ (´ε` )
Even though they go for $26.00 each on Sephora.com, I definitely think they are worth every penny simply because they are so healing and pigmented, and because they have so many shades available. (⊃。•́‿•̀。)⊃
Again, I received all the items complimentary from Influenster for reviewing purposes, but these are my honest opinions.
With love,
Alyssa
